2023-2024 Competition Team Evaluation/Audition Dates! Want to be part of our award winning Competition Team? Dancers on our teams have fun learning and growing in all styles of dance. HIGH SCHOOLERS

  BFSD will be holding evaluations/auditions for the 2023/2024 Competitive Teams for Dancers entering High School and current High School dancers on June 20th and 21st.  June 20th everyone learns the combos at the St Charles studio location located at 3720 Illinois Street St Charles IL . 

Thursday June 20th in St Charles 

2:45pm check in

3-3:30pm warm up (Brooke)

3:30-4:15 learn jazz combo (Sonia)

4:15-5 Learn Contemporary Combo (Rachael)

5-5:30 dinner break 

5:30-7 Hip hop Auditions (Miguel)

Then on Friday June 21th the dancers will audition at the Genoa studio located at 303 W Main St Genoa, IL.  On Friday, Dancers will be assigned a 20 min time slot for auditions between 10 & 4.

There is a $25 registration fee which includes the teacher’s time and hand written feedback on each dancers evaluation forms.

****1 Day Make Up auditions for JRs & Teens/Srs****

*If your dancer cannot make the scheduled Teen/ Sr or JR audition date, we will have a 1 day make up option to audition on Friday July 26th instead. Please know it is highly recommended for dancers to attend the 2 day option rather than the make up date. 

Friday July 26th in St Charles 

3-4 Make Up hip hop Auditions (Miguel)

4-5 learn jazz & Contemporary/ Lyrical combos (Sonia, Rachael & Brooke)

5-6:30 audition technical skills and combos for jazz & Contemporary/ Lyrical 

To help cover the cost of the instructors on this weekend a $25.00 non-refundable audition fee will be charged.

4TH – 8TH GRADERS

BFSD will be Holding evaluations/auditions for the 2024/2025 Competitive Teams for Dancers entering 4th grade Intermediate Level I and up through 8th grade the first weekend in August (Sat. Aug. 3rd & Sun. Aug. 3rd)  The dancers will learn the combos on Saturday the 3rd at the St Charles location located at 3720 Illinois Ave St Charles .

9:45 am check in 

10-10:30am warm up (Brooke)

10:30-12 learn jazz and Lyrical combos (Brooke)

12-12:30 lunch break 

12:30-2pm JR hip hop Auditions (required for all dancers auditioning)

And then on Sunday the 4th they will audition at the Genoa location located at 303 W Main St Genoa IL.  On Saturday, Dancers will be assigned a 20 min time for auditions on Sunday which will be held between 10 & 4.

We are bringing back our popular Summer Schedule, that is flexible and easy to work into your Summer Activities!!

Auditions for Competition, Dance Company and Pointe Preparation are held over the summer, after 4 weeks of class preparation!

Summer enrollment is mandatory for these auditions and for pointe preparation.

Below are all the Programs listed individually with dates.  Advanced and Intermediate Camps have 72 hours available for the low 32 hour price.  Take as many or as few hours as you wish.

Genoa Location- Monday July 8th thru Friday, August 2th (4 weeks)  

St Charles Location– Monday, July 15th thru Friday, August 9th (4 weeks)

Make-Up Options-

**Since the Genoa Location starts one week earlier and the St. Charles location starts one week later, that extra week in the opposite location, can be used as a make-up week.

**Since the Advanced and Intermediate Schedules offer 6 hours on Tuesday (instead of 3 hours), these are free bonus classes that dancers can take for free, or use as make-up classes.

On Friday March 24^th at the Genoa Studio we are holding a special trial day for all boys ages 4 and up in both the Genoa and St. Charles areas. Any boys interested in possibly performing in our production of “West Side Story” can do so for free!

This Trial Day will be an opportunity for boys to watch a video of what they will be doing, and to learn some of the choreography. The boys can let us know at the end of the evening if they would be interested. We always have many boys interested in performing these “boy friendly” productions.  They will also be taught and trained to stretch as well as learn choreography. In the past high school coaches have noticed a great improvement in these boys after they started this program with us. This program is FREE! Rehearsals are required once per week. Many of the scenes are clever choreographed fight scenes through dance to the dramatic West Side Story music from the motion picture starring Natalie Wood. The story opens with a flashback to when the boys and girls were younger. This opens the opportunity for boys (and girls) of all ages. BFDC Proudly Presents “Grease and More”

The Beth Fowler Dance Company is excited to take the stage with their presentation of “Grease and More”. The Dance Company Members joined by all the class dancers are so excited to share this upbeat

50’s classic. Also presented in this show are dances from the many genres offered at the studio and the Beth Fowler Competition team will be showcasing this years competition dances.
